FANS (Friends and Neighbors of Washington Park) Meeting Minutes posted

Please check it out and get involved however it may fit.  With budget cuts, the care of the park is even more dependent upon generous neighbors and volunteers.  Anyone who participates in FANS recieves a 20% discount at Wash Perk, ALWAYS….. just ask at the register.  Thank you FANS for all you do!

WWPNA Membership Meeting

October 21st, 7pm-9pm, at 790 S. Corona St. in the basement meeting room of Epiphany Lutheran Church.   This meeting will be held as an information booth style format, in which you can just browse the topic booths that interest you and speak one on one with members. Topics include: Zoning Code, WWP Green Team, Platte River Greenway, and standing committees (Crime and Safety, Communications, Land Use and Transportation)

Please just stop in and meet our neighborhood association volunteers if you haven’t yet, and find out how you can get involved or at least informed about issues concerning West Washington Park and it’s neighbors!

Not For Sale organized in Colorado in early 2008 as a grassroots expression of the Not For Sale Campaign mission in our state. We are engaged in recruiting and motivating volunteers to end modern day slavery, through volunteer-initiated projects (open source activism) and in our own advocacy, detection and victim support initiatives.

Wash Perk will be sponsoring a short season league this Fall, details coming soon. Please email Joe Lindwall at joelindwall@hotmail.com if you are interested in signing up your pup.  We’re thinking 2-3 yr olds, running around at the park on Saturday mornings could be a blast to watch!  And they’ll have PERK PUP jerseys!

Denver Boot Camp

Sat, September 5, 10am – 11am at the Washington Park Recreation Center

Each Denver Boot Camp is becoming the biggest program in Denver. It is already the toughest, but worth the results. For both men and women, it is the program if you want to burn over 1000 calories in an hour, while slashing pounds of fat and toning your muscles. The program is perfect for everyone because you are pushed to your own personal limits. We have everyone out there; the out of shape, new moms, future brides, marathon runners, and triathalon participants.

Bowling Green on the diagonal. Mississippi and
Franklin from the east and Tennessee and Downing
from the west.
