A few announcements:
- update on tumblers. Our travel cold tumblers are backordered, which is good for the planet, as so many peeps are ordering! Our 16oz cups will be shipped Aug 20th; our 24oz cups won’t arrive until late September. Nothing we can do at this point but wait.
- Our Bamboo To-Go ware cutlery sets are in, $12 each.
- Still awaiting back-ordered 2oz glass jars for our condiments.
- As seen on our Facebook page: We wanted to inform everyone that after 2.5 years in business, and as a result of your encouragement and the increased cost of supplies, Wash Perk is going to institute a slight price increase. Most bar items will increase by $0.10 each. A few things will be excluded: hot chocolate, granita, Bhakti Chai.
We appreciate your support and realize every penny matters.
- If you haven’t become a FAN of Wash Perk on Facebook, please add us. Any announcements that come up during the week will be posted there.
- Goodbye and Good Luck to Ivy
Ivy had to leave On a Lark in order to bring home a paycheck for her family’s well-being. We will miss her as we see her less, but I think by now, everyone understands how very challenging it can be to run a small business in to profit, in both good and bad times.
Thank you all again, for being a part of our small business.
- And last, we apologize for the continued construction that makes parking difficult. The Public Works Dept. assures us they are moving as quickly and safely as possible… and we are nearing an end.
Timberline Toastmaster Club
Tue, August 10, 7:00pm – 8:30pm at Wash Perk
Toastmasters International has grown to become a world leader in helping people become more competent and comfortable in front of an audience. Participants practice and learn skills by filling a meeting role, ranging from giving a prepared speech or an impromptu one to serving as timer, evaluator or grammarian. There is no instructor; instead, each speech and meeting is critiqued by a member in a positive manner, focusing on what was done right and what could be improved. Good communicators tend to be good leaders.

PERK PUPS -
Word from Joe:
We will resume practice next Saturday, Aug. 14, 10am. Kristi and Joe will be the coaches for that week.
We have some excellent talent on the roster this year. We hope to have a little more structure to the practices this year and build upon the pups skills from last year. Hopefully, each pup learn to dribble, pass, stop the ball, bounce kick, and kick a goal through the tunnel among other things…maybe even take a good team picture.
The website should be updated next week with additional information.
Season will probably go through the beginning of October depending on weather and everybody’s interest. Let me know what you think.
See you next week.
