Beaujolais Nouveau
Fri, November 19, 7:30pm – 10:00pm
Wash Park Underground, 266B S. Downing Street

Mark your calendars for November 19, 2010 and purchase your tickets for a night of wine and celebration as the Merchants of West Washington Park invite you to celebrate with France and the rest of the world the production, release, and journey of millions of cases of Beaujolais Nouveau from little villages in France to places all around the world. The celebration of the Beaujolais Nouveau is a tradition with a fascinating extensive history that has lead to yearly fanfare in homes, pubs, bars, and bistros in France and beyond on the third Thursday of every November (moved to Friday to accommodate school and work schedules).

Many of West Washington Park’s businesses have joined together to form a group known as The Merchants of West Washington Park. It is our honor and joy to bring you this event to help usher in the 2010 holiday season. We hope you will join us for some fun!

Join us for wine, food, conversation, and plain simple elegant fun as we celebrate in West Wash Park style! (If wine isn’t your thing, cash bar is available.) A ticket is required for your entrance, and we’d love to see you there! $45 per person or $80 per couple.

Grow/Wash Perk Trail Runners Group
Sun, November 21, 8am – 11am Meeting at Perk

Join us Sunday, meeting at the Perk. We’ll carpool and leave Perk at 8:30 am. Whether you choose to run, hike, jog, or walk, we will drive together to a close front range trailhead and be back to the Perk by 11:00 am. Take a small step to bring change in your life!
Questions? Contact kristenindenver@yahoo.com or call 303.359.5751

Teri’s thoughts: Kristen is offering to be our Trail Guide and committed leader for an 8 consecutive week Sunday a.m. run. We arrive at trail and set out at our own pace, on whichever trail we choose, and agree to meet back at base 75 minutes later. I encouraged her to charge a small fee for this service for a couple of reasons: I believe it helps with our commitment to show up each week and second, she is currently unemployed. In the spirit of exchange, I think it’s good.

Wash Perk is sponsoring the running shirts and offering a “family” discount to all participants. I’m excited to learn new trails and to have a reason to make my well being a priority! Kristen is just starting her business “Grow”, which addresses many life nurturing aspects of life: our bodies, our spirits, our gardens…. mostly she wants to help people feel happy and healthy by taking small steps toward big change.
