Turkey Trot, 36th Annual!
Join us for the 36th Annual Mile High United Way The Turkey Trot.Mile High United Way’s Turkey Trot is an annual four-mile run/walk fundraiser in Washington Park on Thanksgiving morning. Each year 10,000 runners have make the Turkey Trot a Thanksgiving morning tradition. Mile High United Way focuses on three life-changing initiatives: School Readiness, Youth Success and Adult Self Sufficiency. We succeed when children, individuals and families achieve financial stability and self sufficiency in our community. Entry Fees: Registrations price for Adults increases to $40 on November 9. A printable registration form will be available October 13. Race Day Schedule and Event Information 10:15 am: 4-mile run 10:30 am: 4-mile run/walk 11:00 am: 1-mile family fun run (NEW COURSE around Grasmere Lake) Entry fee includes one long-sleeve 100% cotton t-shirt, post-race expo, refreshments.
I’m sure you’ve noticed Leah around the shop, jumping right in and seeming like an old pro! Leah has varied talents and interests and has experience as a barista from Whole Foods. She is a silk screen artist, a loomer, a novice tight-rope walker and an aspiring permaculture farmer! Welcome to the Perk, Leah!!!
This Saturday, November 21, On a Lark will be having some fun Thanksgiving festivities!
For the kids (or kids at heart!) there will be Thanksgiving crafts to make from 2-4. Free! Wash Perk will provide hot cocoa or cider to kiddos doing crafts.
For shoppers, there will be a “Bigger than a Breadbox Sale.” Anything in store that’s bigger than a breadbox will be on sale for 25% off! Come by and browse for Thanksgiving hostess gifts and unique Christmas presents!

To purchase your pies, visit www.projectangelheart.org. Each freshly baked pie sells for $25.
Pie orders must be made between October 15 and November 15.

The first Washington Park Master Plan public meeting. This will be where we get the chance to see what is being planned for our park, and how to participate in the process. Visit FANS website for project suggestions and FANS philosophy of use for the park.
Wednesday (18th):
5:30-8:30 p.m. New Zoning Code hearing at the Webb Building room 4F6/4G2. You must sign in early to speak.
A section of the new zoning code zones parks as OS (open space) it also gives the mayor’s appointed park manager complete control over uses and development in the parks.

1-4 p.m. New Zoning Code hearing at the Webb Building room 4F6/4G2. You must sign in early to speak.
