IMGP0203Lean Into It

when you feel uncomfortable
lean into it
feel the hard wax become soft to impress on
the fire comforts

if the problem swells into suffocation
lean into it
it will touch you giving fresh air to breath
new joy to smile in

when you can’t resolve the inner disappointment
lean into it
let it whisper a message that touches like smooth salve
to heal an open wound

there is a time to wrestle
but leaning into the knot
unties rich possibilities

this is the nutrient for a soil that births your true self
your dreams bloom here

Thank you, Janice for planting the veggies and herbs for all to enjoy.  We certainly have!

Linda Kropf's family always a pleasure to see on the Perk's patio!

Linda, Mel, Kate, Jon and Bella

I always joke that Linda Kropf single-handedly makes every business of mine successful, but that’s because she tells everyone she knows, and they always come to support me.  I was an oncology nurse, a massage therapist and I had a gift basket business…. and Linda has always helped connect me to more and more wonderful people.  Thank you, Linda!

Poo Free Parks… please look into this and what it will mean to our parks.

This is a letter from the FANS (Friends and Neighbors of Washington Park) president, Cindy Johnstone:

Logo for Friends and Neighbors of Washington Park FANS

Dear FANS,

Denver Parks and Recreation is looking at a contract with a corporation to provide dog poo bags in the city parks.  At the May meeting FANS members voted against advertising in the parks.  INC (Inter Neighborhood Cooperation )is proposing an alternate plan where the community will be responsible for putting dog waste bags in dispensers on a voluntary basis.  Washington Park is one of the target parks to get the corporate signs above the dog waste dispensers.  We currently have 20 dog waste dispensers made by volunteers that are filled by volunteers.  The plan is to have 25 dispensers made by Poo Free Parks with logos on the signs above,  examples could include Pets Mart, Home Depot, Starbucks, Bill’s Plumbing and Heating.

Please go to Poo Free Parks to get more information about the program and go to the photo gallery to see an example of the dispensers and the cars that will be used to fill the dispensers.  poofreeparks.com

I just received this survey from the Denver Parks and Recreation and would like for you to take the survey, one question.  There are two articles attached to the survey for more information.

Thank you,
Cindy Johnstone
