- MWWP (Merchants of West Washington Park) Halloween planning meeting 9:30 am on Wednesday August 12th at Wash Perk
- FANS (Friends and Neighbors of Washington Park) Tree Tour
Wed, August 12, 6pm – 7pm at Dos Chappel Boathouse, Washington ParkTour of Trees in Washington Park including State Champions. Learn about the different species of trees in the park and identify the state champion trees with the help of Doug Schoch with the Forestry Division of Parks and Recreation. What is the oldest tree in the park, what is the most common tree, what about all the cotton from the cottonwoods? Join us.
- District 7 Zoning Meeting : Thursday, August 13th at SWIC, Southwest Improvement Council (see calendar for details)
- The Poo Free Park program will be presented to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board
