Changes at the Perk!

Just wanted to take a moment to acknowledge some changes coming up at the Perk.  As many of you have already noticed, Ashleigh is back from 9 months in Prague and we are so happy to see her bright face again!  Jennie O is just returning from Uganda and will be back to bless us (and I mean that!) with her service starting on Wed., July 8th.  She will return to Uganda again mid-August, so we will enjoy every moment we get with her.  We’ve already welcomed Kelsey, our newest barista, earlier this week. We are happy to have her join our family.  Jess is headed up to CSU for graduate school July 13th.  She will complete her education in Nutritional Studies.  What a joy she has been at the Perk, and we will all miss her.  Lannie is taking her musical brilliance to Boston for a five week music program, and then hopes to resume her education there in the Fall.   I’d be hard-pressed to find a bigger heart or gentler spirit than what I’ve experienced with Lannie. She leaves next week… And finally, Bethany will be moving on to an exciting graphic design position with a local company.  She has been the steady, quietly competent barista that has slowly come out of her shell over the past 10 months, but has always delivered delightful drinks!  Bethany will stick around for the next few weekends at least, but no more M-F…. 4903Amber is off doing Army training in CA this month, but will return early August.  Lara just returned from a short, rainy vacation back to Michigan, and we are so happy she now calls Denver “home”… and she’s not going anywhere, FOR NOW!
